How do I place an order?

How can I pay for my purchase?

All prices are in US dollars. We accept MasterCard, Visa, or money orders denominated in US dollars. Once your credit card is validated or we receive your money order, we will process your shipment. Go to Order.

When will my order arrive?

Your product will be shipped within 3 business days after validating your order if the product is available. Most orders are usually shipped the next business day. The product availability will be posted on our website. Product delivery takes 3 to 10 business days inside the United States of America. UPS 2 day delivery is available for an additional shipping and handling charge.

How much does shipping cost?

For items shipped within the United States:
$4.95 for the first item and $2.00 each additional item. We ship First Class US Mail. UPS 2 day delivery is also available but rates vary depending on delivery location.

International deliveries:
All international orders are automatically shipped via registered US Air Mail, beginning at $15. If you would like to use a different shipping method, please contact us at sales@smart21.com.

How can I return a product?

All returns must be made within 14 days of receipt of product and in the original, salable condition and in its original package without any damage along with proof and date of purchase. You are responsible for the return shipping costs and the original shipping and handling charge. To avoid a restocking fee, the item must be returned in its original condition, and must include the original packaging, documentation, and accessories. Please include your proof of purchase.

What are your warranty and repair policies?

WARRANTY AND REPAIR INFORMATION

The hardware products offered by Smart21.com, Inc are warranted against defective materials, except battery, or workmanship for six months from the date of original purchase. Equipment covered by this warranty will be repaired or replaced with the same or equivalent equipment at our option. When returning your equipment for warranty service, shipping charges and a check or money order for $5.95 for return postage and handling charges must be prepaid. The product should be returned with a brief description of the problem and proof and date of purchase to

This warranty covers all defects incurred in normal use of the equipment and does not apply in the following cases: 1) Loss or damage to the equipment due to abuse, mishandling, accident, or failure to follow operating instructions. 2) If the equipment is defective as a result of leaking battery or water damage. 3) If the equipment has been serviced or modified by other than our authorized agents.

Do you ship internationally?

I already have Caddy4X and CaddyLINKER/CaddyLYZER II. Can I use them with eCaddy?

Yes! eCaddy is compatible with CaddyLINKER and CaddyLYZER II. However, to enjoy all the benefits of eCaddy, you will need eCaddyLYZER software. Likewise, you can download from Caddy4X to eCaddyLYZER software, but you will not be able to enjoy all the benefits of the software program without eCaddy.

When I launch eCaddyLYZER, many of the options are not available. What do I do?

You must have your eCaddy communicate with eCaddyLYZER once to "initialize" the program. You do not need to have any real data in the scorecard. Simply select Download or Upload and begin! Once the data connection has been made, all your software options will become available.

 

  CaddyLINKER FAQ

When I plug my CaddyLINKER into eCaddy/Caddy4X, the red light on CaddyLINKER does not go on. Why?

Be sure that the 2 AA batteries in CaddyLINKER are operable. Slide the grooved side of CaddyLINKER off to reveal the battery compartment. Install batteries accordingly.

I share my COM port with a PDA device. When I try to use CaddyLINKER, I get repeated Communication Errors.

You must first disable the PDA device in your Device Manager. Right click the "My Computer" icon on your destop and select "Properties." Then click on the "Device Manager" tab and select your PDA device to disable. Your computer will not recognize CaddyLINKER until the PDA device is no longer enabled.

I only have a USB port on my computer. Do you make CaddyLINKER with a USB connection?

Unfortunately at this time we only have a serial port connection for CaddyLINKER. If you do not have a spare serial port available, you can purchase a serial port to USB adaptor at an electronics supply store.

 

  Caddy4X FAQ
 
 

I already have Caddy4X and CaddyLINKER/CaddyLYZER II. Can I use them with eCaddy?

Yes! eCaddy is compatible with CaddyLINKER and CaddyLYZER II. However, to enjoy all the benefits of eCaddy, you will need eCaddyLYZER software. Likewise, you can download from Caddy4X to eCaddyLYZER software, but you will not be able to enjoy all the benefits of the software program without eCaddy.

How can I select the Scoring Method, e.g. PLAY 1A, PLAY 4C, PLAY 4K?

Press the PROGRAM key and then press the TOTAL key until the desired Scoring Method appears in the display.

How can I replace the battery?

Caddy4XTM runs on a 3-volt CR2032 battery. Unscrew the battery compartment lid on the back of Caddy4XTM counter-clockwise with a coin, pop it out replace the battery with the "+" side facing out and put the lid back by screwing it in clockwise.

When do I have to save the game?

You can save your game at any time, but you must save it before leaving your current Game Number. If you do not, you will lose all the data stored in your current game.

Can I set Pars and Handicaps while I am playing in PLAY mode?

No, you cannot set Pars and Handicaps while in PLAY mode. The PAR and HANDI keys are not allowed to set the Pars and Hole Handicaps during PLAY mode. This is to prevent the pars and handicaps from being changed accidentally during the game. You must first press the PROGRAM key to enter PROGRAM mode, select the Course you wish to program, and then press the PAR and HANDI keys to enter Pars and Hole Handicaps.

Can I delete a single game?

You cannot delete a single game on Caddy4X with the CLEAR/SAVE Key. Simply go on to the next available Game Number, until all 20 Game Numbers are used. If you really want to clear a certain game you can do it by reducing each hole's scores to zeroes with the REVERSE key and PLAYER keys. It is recommended that you fill your Caddy4X with 20 rounds, download the data with CaddyLINKER to your PC and then clear all games by pressing the PROGRAM key and the CLEAR/SAVE key.

  CaddyLYZER II FAQ

Yes! eCaddy is compatible with CaddyLINKER and CaddyLYZER II. However, to enjoy all the benefits of eCaddy, you will need eCaddyLYZER software. Likewise, you can download from Caddy4X to eCaddyLYZER software, but you will not be able to enjoy all the benefits of the software program without eCaddy.

After I install CaddyLYZERTM, the screen says to click on the "Download" button, but I do not see a "Download" button.

Be sure that your screen size resolution is set to at least 800 X 600 pixels with small fonts. To change your display settings, follow these steps:
Start Menu
Settings
Control Panel
Display
Settings Tab
Screen area: slide the bar to at least 800 X 600 pixels
Advanced
Display: Font size: Select small fonts
Click OK
You may have to restart your computer for the new display settings to take effect.

I type in Player Names, but CaddyLYZERTM does not seem to be saving the information.

You must actively save your file to keep a permanent record on your computer. Go to the File Menu and select Save. This will save your file, as well as any names you have added, to your hard drive.
